Adriaan Lokman -- Barcode-2001

Barcode is a roadmovie through an abstract virtual world. Travelling over and through landscapes the spectator is taken in a play of light and shade. Sometimes the light moves freely, then it is collected, reflected or transformed. The shades lengthen and crawl together. Quick spotlights create stroboscopic effects, race through curves and settle down. In the end the afterimage fades out and the spectator blinks. With Barcode Adriaan Lokman takes the abstract animation film to the twenty-first century: computer-generated and very, very sensational.(source)

An abstract road movie through the Netherlands, containing only light and small poles. The result is a ballet of light and dark, a virtual trip through space and light. (IMDb)

Logorama (shortfilm)

This is a very clever animation all made up of logos, showing the corporate cut-throat attitude the capitalist needs to have to survive.

"Nominated for a Best Animated Short Oscar, Logorama takes place in a world full of corporate and brand logos (in which roughly 2,500 appear), and it follows a few different stories that all intertwine with one another. Honestly, it's bloody brilliant, and I guarantee it'll be the best thing you watch all week." (source)
